FluoroSyl 3750 is a perfluoropolyether silane with good durability, lubricity and abrasion resistance. On glass, the coating provides good anti-reflective and oleophobic properties. 3750 is recommended for glass and metal surfaces for fingerprint resistance, stain repellency and easy cleaning. Samples are for industrial and research use only. And not for household use.
Quantity: 10 grams Application methods: PVD (or dilute to 0.2% with PFC80 and spritz and squeegee or dip) Curing: Air dry for 24 hours (or bake 100°C for 10 minutes with 50% relative humidity) Transparent: Yes Refractive Index: 1.3 Density: 1.55 g/ml Static Contact Angle to Water (2 µl): >100° Static Contact Angle to Mineral Oil (20 µl): >55° Contact Angle after 5,000 Cotton Rubs @ 2.5 g/sq-mm: >95°
Clean glass and metal with plasma or corona first prior to application of FluoroSyl. Apply FluoroSyl immediately after surface preparation by PVD. Allow the FluoroSyl to dry for 2 hours or more. Using a soft cloth wipe off any haze or cloudiness. The glass or metal should now repel water, oil, paint, ice and other materials. After cleaning and diluting to 0.2% with fluoro-solvent, FluoroSyl can also be applied by dipping and spraying.
