FluoroThane TS

FluoroThane-TS is a two-part durable super-hydrophobic coating. FluoroThane-TS provides 140 to 165° contact angle performance in extreme sun and rain. TS also significantly reduces snow and ice accumulation. The coating can be exposed to the elements after 24 hours of drying but will reach maximum durability after 4-5 days. Surface temperatures should be between 32 and 95°F during spray application. Coverage of 1000 ml (X2) of TS is 20 square meters

Description: When rain creates a water or ice film on antenna, satellite dishes, and sensors it results in reduced or lost signal. On FluoroThane coated dishes rain drops bead-up and roll-off resulting in reduced water and ice build-up. Water contact angles greater than 140° with a drop roll-off angle of less than 0.7° can be easily achieved.

Application: The temperature of the surface to be sprayed should be between 45°F and 95°F. Keep container at room temperature prior to use. All surfaces need to be dry and free from wax, grease and polishes for good adhesion. First shake the bottle of BASE COAT vigorously for 30 seconds. Hold the spray-gun vertically 8-10 inches from the surface. Depress the trigger button fully. Move the spray-gun evenly across the surface covering 6-10 inches per second. Apply half overlapping strokes 3-4 inches apart. Shake the reservoir for a few seconds every 60 seconds. Allow the BASE COAT to dry for 20 minutes or more before applying the TOP COAT. To the 1000 ml bottle of TOP COAT add 666 grams of acetone. Shake the bottle of TOP COAT vigorously for 30 seconds. Hold the spray-gun vertically 8-10 inches from surface. Depress the button fully. Move the spray-gun evenly across the surface covering 6-10 inches per second. Apply half overlapping strokes 3-4 inches apart. Shake the reservoir for a few seconds every 60 seconds. Allow the coating to dry for over 24 hours before exposing to rain. For best long term performance avoid touching the coated surface.
