Super Hydrophobic Coatings

CytoThane series superhydrophobic coatings reduce signal attenuation caused by rain, ice and snow storms. Major advantages of these coatings include, rain fade reduction, minimize signal loss in Ku and Ka bands and eliminate water film formation. FluoroThane can be applied on metals, plastics, ceramic, etc.

Major applications for CytoThane include:
- Prevent signal loss due to rain, ice and snow on satellite dishes, radomes, and antenna arrays
- Reduce signal loss due to rain on wind and radiometric sensors
- Reduce ice and snow accumulation on mid-path passive reflectors and repeaters
- Protect moisture sensitive telecommunications equipment including circuit boards, motors, switches and connectors.
