CytoThane BIO is a super-hydrophobic blood repellent coating. CytoThane is a two-part durable coating. CytoThane provides 140 to 165° contact angle performance to water.
Size 125 ml: Net WT 100 g base-coat + Net WT 65 g top-coat
Size 1000 ml: Net WT 800 g base-coat + Net WT 600 g top-coat
Application: Spray or roll
Drying time: 2 hours
Colors: Frosty-white
Flammable solvents: Base-coat non-flammable, Dry Top-coat non-flammable
Storage temperature: 20-30°C
Shelf life: 1 year
Durability: 1 - 5 years
Dielectric constant: 3 at 100 MHz
Electrical resistivity: ~2 tera ohms
Taber abrasion: Super-hydrophobic after 10 cycles with CS10 wheel
Thickness: 80-100 micrometers
Application: The temperature of the surface to be sprayed should be between 45°F and 95°F. Keep container at room temperature prior to use. All surfaces need to be dry and free from wax, grease and polishes for good adhesion. First shake the bottle of BASE COAT vigorously for 30 seconds. Hold the spray-gun vertically 8-10 inches from the surface. Depress the trigger button fully. Move the spray-gun evenly across the surface covering 6-10 inches per second. Apply half overlapping strokes 3-4 inches apart. Shake the reservoir for a few seconds every 60 seconds. Allow the BASE COAT to dry for 20 minutes or more before applying the TOP COAT. Shake the bottle of TOP COAT vigorously for 30 seconds. Hold the spray-gun vertically 8-10 inches from surface. Depress the button fully. Move the spray-gun evenly across the surface covering 6-10 inches per second. Apply half overlapping strokes 3-4 inches apart. Shake the reservoir for a few seconds every 60 seconds. Allow the coating to dry for over 24 hours before exposing to rain. The coating can be exposed to the elements after 24 hours of drying but will reach maximum durability after 4-5 days. Surface temperatures should be between 32 and 95°F during spray application. Coverage of 1000 ml (X2) of TS is 20 square meters. For best long term performance avoid touching the coated surface.
